Aspen Skiing Company

LORIS was hired by Aspen Skiing Company to provide civil engineering services for the development of the Sinclair Meadows subdivision in Snowmass, Colorado.  The 23 acre site is proposed to be developed into 20 luxury single-family residential lots, with 23 affordable housing multi-family units incorporated into the site design.  LORIS is working with Design Workshop, a prominant landscape architecture and land planning firm, to produce a design that will meet the stringent development codes of the Town of Snowmass Village.

The project is located on steeply sloping hillside that presents many design challenges, including mitigation of historic landslide areas, design of roadways to minimize environmental and visual impacts, protection of sensitive wetland areas, and integration into the existing Village pedestrian/bike trail and transportation system. Because it is one of the last parcels of land in Snowmass that is zoned for this type of development, the project must be carefully designed in order to not only meet the development standards of the town, but also the address the concerns of the surrounding land owners and residents.
