A heavy volume of 40,000 vehicles a day jeopardized the safety of numerous pedestrians, bicyclists and equestrians using the High Line Canal Trail at University Boulevard. LORIS got diverse groups together, including public safety agencies, utilities and a ditch company, and devised an underpass that would meet all needs.

The resulting rigid-frame bridge structure required full conformance to CDOT specifications including a three-phase construction detour plan. The project also required utility relocations and right-of-way exhibits for CDOT and Denver Water.
