11th Avenue Bridge |
Projects - Infrastructures
11th Avenue Bridge LORIS served as the prime consultant for this federally funded (CDOT Region 4) community landmark project. The scope of work consisted of approximately one mile of roadway improvements and a new 250-foot bridge over the Cache La Poudre River just north of Island Grove Park in Greeley. LORIS provided the roadway widening and intersection design, performed hydraulics analysis of 100-year floodplain, and worked closely with the City of Greeley for relocation of water lines. The bridge's aesthetic treatment was chosen to mesh with the City of Greeley's vision for a northern gateway to the city. The selected theme reflects Greeley's agricultural heritage, the local ethnic community, and the significance of Island Grove Park, which plays host to Greeley's Stampede Days every year. This project received the 2003 Project of the Year - Award in the Medium Communities Category from the American Public Works Association. Client: City of Greeley
