The Meadows

The Meadows is a 60 unit affordable housing development designed for the housing authority of the City of Loveland.  Within the academy and the profession it is widely acknowledged that one of the most difficult of challenges facing design teams today is developing creative and innovative design solutions for affordable housing.  

This project earned a Merit Award from the North Chapter of AIA.  The jury was in unanimous agreement that the design team was highly successful in delivering a creative solution that any resident would enjoy calling home.  Juror comments included - very strong site planning with good sensitivity toward existing conditions and massing and developing an image appropriate to this type of housing, and acknowledged that over time the landscaping would make walkways and parking areas more user friendly and enjoyable.
