LORIS designed this 650-bed student housing project on CSU's main campus.  The building consists of three-story wood framed construction above a garden level.   Upper floors are framed with engineered wood joists. The pitched roofs consist of pre-engineered wood trusses with localized stick framed construction as necessary.   Lateral stability was achieved typically through sheathed wood framed shear walls.

The main entrance lobby is a two-story high space opening onto large clear-span meeting rooms and common areas, with a bridge link connecting upper floor level corridors through these spaces.  Construction in this area is steel framed with localized steel moment frames for lateral stability.  Foundations are grade beams spanning between spread footings.  The exterior wall finishes are a combination of stucco and brick veneer with stone veneer on selected potions of the lower garden level.
